My First Adaptation Podcast Since the LA Fires Ignited

On Wednesday night January 8th, I flew from San Francisco to Los Angeles. Towards the end of the flight, I recorded a movie of the LA Fires and here is a screenshot.

Dora and I live just East of UCLA on Warner Avenue. For the last 9 days, we have prepared to evacuate our home and we tried to protect our home from burning down. We live next to an empty lot with overgrown vegetation and I have been watering it and our roof each day.

Now that the threat is slightly diminished, I would like to share some thoughts and I do so in this recorded podcast.

I want to talk about some free market adaptation ideas that we first explored in our 2017 paper. You can download a free copy here.
