Will Climate Change Reduce Quality of Life in Los Angeles Over the Next 30 Years?

This recent LA Times piece offers a refreshingly optimistic vision that Los Angeles has a bright future but that climate change will require that the people of Los Angeles adapt to rising heat, water scarcity and the rise of the green economy and the increased use of electric vehicles.

In this podcast, I offer a few thoughts from an economist’s perspective about this piece.

The piece does not discuss economic incentives and it ignores many ideas from my 2010 Climatopolis Book. Read this excerpt from my book that was published in Scientific American in 2010.
